Mr. DeRupo has a background in communications and public affairs. He served as Director of External Relations for the National Coffee Association of USA, Inc., managing executive communications, public relations, and government affairs, and previously worked as Press Secretary to a New York City Council Member during Lower Manhattan’s recovery following 9/11. Most recently, Joseph has combined his professional expertise with his longstanding passion for language education, teaching English as a Second Language to diverse learners at Kaplan ELS Language Services and CAMPUS Education. He currently serves as ESL Coordinator at CAMPUS Education Elmhurst, where he provides academic leadership, supports instructors, and helps ensure high-quality instruction and student success. Joseph is delighted to contribute to the school’s academic mission while continuing to teach and support students from diverse backgrounds.
